What It Is
The Governance Model establishes decision rights, escalation paths, and review cadences for the program. It answers the question every program team asks within the first month (“Who gets to decide?”) and makes the answer structural rather than political.
Why It Matters
Programs without governance models don’t lack decisions; they lack legitimate decisions. Every call gets second-guessed, every escalation goes to the wrong person, and every review meeting becomes a re-litigation of previous choices.
